Ilana Glazer: The Planet is Burning – January 3
EMMY-nominated Ilana Glazer’s debut stand-up special, Ilana Glazer: The Planet is Burning will premiere on Friday, January 3, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The special will feature Ilana’s thoughts on homophobes and Nazis, how crappy women’s razors are, and what a joke the patriarchy is. Ilana Glazer is a co-creator, writer, director, executive producer and star of the critically-acclaimed show Broad City, which was nominated by the Writers Guild of America for Best Comedy Series. Glazer recently completed filming the A24 psychological horror film she also co-wrote and produced, titled False Positive, in which she stars alongside Justin Theroux and Pierce Brosnan.
Treadstone – January 10
The Origin Story behind the CIA Black Ops Program from the world of Jason Bourne, Treadstone will launch on Prime Video on January 10, 2020. From the producers of the “Bourne” franchise, Treadstone explores the origin story and present-day actions of Operation Treadstone, the infamous, covert CIA Black Ops program that uses behavior modification to turn recruits into nearly superhuman assassins. Season One of the series will follow sleeper agents across the globe as they’re mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions.
STAR TREK: PICARD– January 24
The highly anticipated series will premiere around the world on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, January 24th 2020.
STAR TREK: PICARD features Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as “Jean-Luc Picard,” which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” The new series will follow this iconic character into the next chapter of his life. Amazon Studios Greenlights Unscripted Project With Priyanka Chopra Jonas & Nick Jonas Featuring Pre-Wedding Dance Competition
Amazon Studios has announced that it has greenlit the Untitled Priyanka Chopra Jonas / Nick Jonas Sangeet Project, an unscripted series executive produced by the famous couple and inspired by an Indian pre-wedding tradition called the sangeet. The sangeet takes place the night before the ceremony, bringing together the families of the betrothed for a performance-filled evening of song and dance. Chopra Jonas and Jonas’ sangeet played an important role in the lead up to their own spectacular cross-cultural nuptials in December 2018.
