BMW South Africa is taking all of its car sales online, with the automaker saying that you’ll be able to Find your next Ultimate Driving machine from your phone or desktop in a matter of moments. The news comes alongside the arrival of the 2 Series Gran Coupe, which finally satisfy BMW’s promise of a midsize GC.
By shifting all purchasing online, the automaker insists – along with adhering to the lockdown restrictions as set out by government – it is able to offer consumers a safe platform that lets them find their dream BMW at the best price. Deliveries of purchased vehicles will only take place once the restrictions are lifted.
As for the current brick and mortar BMW stores, they’ll continue to be wound down for the duration of the restrictions.
It’s 2020 and people just want to buy things online. This move makes sense, we think.
