While Netflix is chatting up providers about anchoring its app on top boxes, and getting rights to give us that much needed exclusive content, access to the streaming service’s library will be available on selected Hisense Smart TVs.
Announced earlier today through a media presser, the Chinese conglomerate confirmed that those (TV) models that come with a dedicated Netflix remote will be able to make use of it, seeing that the services has been officially introduced in Mzansi.
The presser further indicates that Netflix will get cozy through a dedicated app on selected models (as below) which also carries local media playback and works with WiFi Direct for mirroring on the big(ger) screen. Of course, this means that consumers will have another option for binge watching alongside compatible handsets in the near future while the aforementioned sides work out a deal for more widespread implementation.
