Butler, an on demand groceries and essentials ecommerce platform that connects busy consumers with the world’s leading consumer brands, has partnered with Knorr to deliver a campaign that delivers recipe ingredients curated around Knorr products within 90 minutes.
The project is called Dinner on Demand #DeliverMyDinner and allows consumers to access recipes through the Dinner on Demand Facebook Messenger Chatbot or directly from eButler, and have the ingredients delivered to their door within 90 minutes. The pilot phase went live in July, 2017 focused on 55 suburbs in Johannesburg for a campaign called My Mzansi Pasta. The second phase recently went live on 2 October with the new ‘Naturally Tasty’ campaign, now focused on more than 270 suburbs covering the East Rand, Johannesburg, Midrand and Pretoria.
We are thrilled to be Knorr’s eCommerce partner for this campaign, it’s such an authentic and innovative global brand that we grew up eating. It’s been an exciting collaborative project between Unilever’s digital partner Liquorice, the Knorr team and eButler to try and extend the value proposition of an already existing platform called What’s for Dinner with hundreds of inspirational meals to choose from,” says Vusi Mbokane, Chief Innovator of eButler.
“What has also been fantastic to witness – is how the concept is clearly satisfying a need for consumers with busy lifestyles who are looking for quick meal inspiration, and have access to the ingredients with just a few clicks. The demand and user growth on eButler has been exponential, and it’s this reason we are fast tracking our plans for scale to ensure we have coverage in all three major cities (Gauteng, Western Cape, and KZN) before the festive season starts.”
