One of South Africa’s top selling passenger cars, the Polo Vivo, has been rejuvenated with the addition of a visually striking special edition dubbed the Polo Storm.
The exterior of Storm differentiates itself from other Polo Vivo derivatives with standard features such as front foglights with chrome surrounds, 15-inch Tosa alloy wheels painted in black metallic, glossy black side mirrors and black decals on the side. The rear is completed with chrome tipped double exhaust pipes.The special edition Storm, which is on sale now, is based on the 1.4i Trendline with 63kW hatch body variant.
The interior has a dashboard with a two-tone finish in grey and ceramique. The air vents, centre console, lower parcel trays and cup holder are in a ceramique finish. Whilst the steering wheel, gear gaiter, hand brake lever are all in leather with grey stitching. The roof lining is coloured in anthracite adding to the visual appeal of the interior. That is not all. Storm is fitted with exclusive three-tone seat trim that compliments the ceramique dashboard with its ceramique coloured bolsters.
For entertainment, Polo Vivo Storm comes standard with CD/Radio with Bluetooth connectivity, SD Card, USB port and six speakers.
Keeping tabs with entertainment
Volkswagen late last week announced their collaboration with American audio specialists, BeatsAudio to offer the Polo Beats model. Polo Beats is offered with a 300 watt premium sound system. The system has 8-channel amplifier with a digital signal processor. The crystal clear Beats sound is channelled through seven high-end speakers: two tweeters in the A-pillars, two woofers in the front doors, two broadband speakers in the back as well as subwoofer integrated in the spare wheel well. This combination delivers powerful, punching bass tones which literally makes the occupants feel the music, whether it is hip hop, rock, pop or jazz. Polo Beats comes standard with Composition Media Radio with USB – interface for iPod/iPhone, AUX-in jack, Bluetooth connectivity and App Connect.
The retail price of the Polo Vivo Storm is R187 300 while the Polo Beats is R260 700.
