What happens when you put Matt Damon, Christian Bale and Jon Bernthal in one movie? The varying answers will probably be of a very positive nature. All three gentlemen star in one of the most anticipated movies this year titled Ford v Ferrari. As the title suggests, it has a lot to do with cars, something we know a thing or two about here. Synonymous with not picking just any roles with the ones they do go with usually going on to become box office hits, so having all three star in one movie was always going to be something magical to see:
Rotten Tomatoes describes it as a movie “that delivers all the polished auto action audiences will expect — and balances it with enough gripping human drama to satisfy non-racing enthusiasts.” We see the aforementioned Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in Ford v Ferrari, based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
A thriller that will no doubt gain favor with not only movie fans but also motoring fanatics. Ford v Ferrari is scheduled for release on 22 November 2019.
