Movie Preview – Midway

One of the most memorable all time movie classics we will forever hold dear to our hearts is Pearl Harbour released back in 2001 starring Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett. A rendition of that movie is around the corner and it comes in the shape of Midway:

The movie tells the untold true story of the WWII battle of Midway. The story of real-life heroes who faced impossible odds in an intense battle in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Going into the Battle of Midway, the US Navy was outmanned and outgunned, having been decimated by the attack on Pearl Harbor only six months earlier.

A bit confused we were at first by this one when we first the trailer, we originally thought that it was a direct remake of the Pearl Harbor movie, something that wouldn’t have made sense as it would have been too early and just unnecessary to have one at this stage. If anything, Midway is a continuation of what transpired afterwards and if it’s anything close to the Pearl Harbor movie then this one is also a sure bet to be a hit with many. It’s all set for the movie circuit on Christmas Day, 25 December and includes a great cast in Ed Skrein, Mandy Moore, Woody Harrelson and Luke Evans.
