ULTRA South Africa is returning in 2023

ULTRA South Africa, the largest electronic music festival that our continent has ever seen, will finally return in March 2023 after a three-year break! It’s been three long years of no dancing outdoors, no laughing out loud, no loving of life and singing of songs on some of the world’s best festival dance floors. Three years of no world-class international DJs, no Ultra Angels, no over the top fireworks and pyro, and only those epic three-year old memories to keep us all going.

But not anymore… ULTRA South Africa is back and ready to remind us why no other festival brand can compare. Globally, ULTRA has come back after lockdown bigger than ever before, with Ultra Music Festival selling out in record time and ULTRA Europe crowds breaking attendance records
numbers. ULTRA Japan and ULTRA Korea have also announced their returns, and the international hype is at a higher level than ever before.

The last ULTRA South Africa in 2020 brought 50,000 ecstatic partygoers together for a day and night of gold-standard performances, pyrotechnics and party moments, the memories of which have lasted until today. It’s now finally time to make some new ones… Friday, 10th March 2023 will host ULTRA South Africa’s first show at its brand-new Cape Town home. The well-known, well-situated and beautifully designed Kenilworth Racecourse (Hollywoodbets, Kenilworth).

Home to some of Cape Town’s most iconic events, the ULTRA South Africa organisers will transform this space into a fantastic festival fantasy-land. From the iconic and jaw-dropping main stage set-up, to the RESISTANCE experience, this venue is the perfect setting for an expansive outdoor festival like ULTRA South Africa.

Saturday, 11th March will bring Johannesburg, for the 8th time, to the historic home of ULTRA South Africa JHB, The Expo Centre at Nasrec, and will maximise every inch of that venue’s space and accessibility to showcase the world’s best international DJs, local talent and unparalleled production.
