E! Entertainment Television earlier this week announced the premiere date for the local adaptation of the hit comedy dating series, Dating #NoFilter. The 10-episode, unscripted series produced by Brainstorm Entertainment, will premiere exclusively on E! Africa (DStv channel 124, and DStv Access) on 13 October at19:00.
Alongside news of the premiere, E! Africa also revealed the trailer, giving audiences a sneak peek at the commentary from some of South Africa’s funniest personalities, as they watch singles navigate the unpredictable world of blind dating. Peak it below:
Dating #NoFilter brings together a dynamic cast of 16 commentators, led by comedian, TV personality and actor Jason Goliath (E!’s Celebrity Game Night, Ses’ Top La). Commentators joining Goliath include actress and radio personality Hope Mbhele, media personality and content creator Lebogang Tlokana – also known as “The Funny Chef”, rapper and songwriter Cassper Nyovest, and actress Jo-Anne Reyneke (Muvhango, Broken Vows, Black Tax).
“Having had a home on E! Africa for all four seasons of the SAFTA-winning Celebrity Game Night, I’m delighted to be leading E’s latest, exciting local production: Dating #NoFilter,” said Goliath. “It’s been so much fun to team up with so many local talents while showcasing the quirks of South Africa’s dating culture. If viewers have just as much fun as we’ve had commentating, they’re in for a treat!”
Filmed in Johannesburg, Dating #NoFilter is a local adaptation of the successful format. The series originally aired on E! in the US, with the African version marking the fourth international adaptation.
Produced by Brainstorm Entertainment for NBCUIN & DTC, Dating #NoFilter is distributed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
