When the second official local original from Netflix, Blood and Water dropped in May last year, we weren’t too sure about it. This came on the back of the not so great impression its predecessor, the then first local original, Queen Sono, left us with. Despite that we decided to give Blood and Water a chance and we glad we did as it was miles better with a cool plot, characters and overall setting. If you haven’t seen our full thoughts on it then check here.
Netflix have today officially confirmed the date for the much anticipated Season 2 which we are more than looking forward to seeing and hoping that the same ingredients used in the first were used in this upcoming second season. Judging by the little details shared it does sound like it and that’s music to our ears. Officially streaming on the platform from 24 September 2021, Netflix have also made mention that the second season promises the same riveting drama, unlikely alliances, and twists and turns as the Parkhurst clan up the ante on their quest for the truth…
Season 2 will pick up right where we left off as viewers will get all of the answers that have been waiting for and then some. If you thought the series couldn’t get away with adding more drama, you are sorely mistaken, as the case of Puleng’s missing sister becomes the tip of an iceberg that runs deep. Blood and Water season two, is full of entanglements, a little bit (read a lot) of lies and a constant source of break up, make ups and drug deals. Plus, you can be assured that all of the brand new characters are arriving with a spoon, ready to stir the pot.
Season 2 left us with too many burning questions but the wait is coming to a close on 24 September, only on Netflix.
