It’s very rare that we announce the arrival of a new projector range, but we thought that Epson’s new EH-TW Home Cinema 3D range deserves a special mention. This is few of the company’s first units to offer an MHL-enabled HDMI port enabling you to output video from your Android phone or tablet.
Back to the devices at hand, first up is the TW5200 which is ideal for gamers looking for big screen entertainment to complement their console. The unit also offers Full HD 2D and 3D gaming graphics.
The EH-TW7200 offers features usually found in high-end models, such as a wide lens shift and very high contrast ratio, but with a much lower price tag. Then there isthe EH-TW9200, a Full HD model that allows users to connect their Full HD devices to the projector, without having to install them in the same room.
All in all, the three units are compatible with USB-rechargeable, Radio Frequency (RF) active shutter 3D glasses (which can be used up to 10 meters), built-in speakers and a 2,000 lumens bulb. They’re already available at major retailers from R19, 800.00 (TW5200), R37, 000.00 (TW7200) and R47, 000.00 (TW9200) — a small price to pay to get those Mnet rerun episodes of Game of Thrones splattered on your wall.
