The folks at Huawei have this past week just opened up their first retail service stores in just about the most apt locations in South Africa: Melrose Arch in the north of Johannesburg and Canal Walk in Cape Town.
These lovely new service camps for the brand will be celebrating Huawei’s milestone and showing how far this Chinese company has come in establishing itself on South African soil, “placing the customer at the centre of integrating technology, service and lifestyle in an interactive environment” said Charlene Munilall, GM of Huawei Consumer Business Group SA.
Inside the stores you’ll find a set of interactive devices, solution for broken screens, liquid damage, and the store will provide onsite repair and replacement for P8, P9, P9 Plus, Mate S and Mate 8. There will also be a VIP service for Mate 8, P9, and P9 Plus with a service offering including door to door collection. There are charge-up ports too – if you happen to be walking past with your Mate 8 running dry. Or just happen to be in the area, you know.
These high-end offerings are targeted specifically for high end products as Huawei believes that a premium brand and premium service is inseparable. The service stores are Huawei’s way of allowing South African consumers to experience the brand in a way they never have before.
