Huawei today announced it sold 2.6 million new P9 and P9 Plus handsets in the first six full weekend of sales since the device launched on June 02. This is roughly 130 percent more than the first sales of the P8 of yesteryear.
“P9 and P9 lite device sales in South Africa have exceeded even our bullish expectations. South African consumers are smart buyers and recognize the combination of features, style, and the Leica co-engineered camera, making the P9 the best smartphone buy available,” said Charlene Munilall, General Manager for Huawei Consumer Business Group South Africa.
