Just as it had promised, LG is bringing the full force of its smartphone army to local shores. Following the V40 introduction which took place earlier this year, the LG K40 follows suit and it’s for those who want the premium look without breaking the bank.
LG positions this budget-friendly phone as a option for those who want premium features for less but, truth be told, there’s very little you’d find in them that would remind you those premium models beyond the looks. True, there is the DTS-X 3D Surround Sound if you have compatible earphones, as well as AI CAM features that is becoming the norm for all smartphones these days anyway.
Despite the FullVision branding, the smaller 5.7-inch HD+ screen of the K40 has pretty large bezels top and bottom. The specs are generally lower as well and there’s only one 16 megapixel rear camera. LG promises that the 3,000 mAh battery is more than enough for a full day of use.

• CPU: 2.0 GHz quad-core
• RAM: 2 GB
• Storage: 32 GB
• Display: 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ FullVision Display
• Main Camera: 16 MP PDAF
• Secondary Camera: 8 MP with LED Flash
• Battery: 3,000 mAh
Launch of the K40 device is set for June 2019.
