Sick of nothing but upconverted connectivity and lag on telephone line on the brand new IT infrastructure that seem to be finding their way into every new hotel room these days? MTN Business’s package of ITC channels and infrastructures are on their way to City Lodge’s more than 51 hotels in SA and Botswana courtesy of a deal with the telecoms company.
City Lodge is switching hotels over to increased internet speeds, greater reliability and lower telephony costs, as this new programming debuts in rious locations beginning in the third quarter of this year.
“Through our guest surveys, questionnaires, various feedback we receive and research that has been conducted, we recognised the need to implement technology that will result in an improvement in our guests’ connectivity and telecommunications experience and also benefit our internal operations,” said Clifford Ross, chief executive of the City Lodge hotel Group.
It is expected that the entire programme will be fully operational in early 2015 and that new hotels under construction and on the radar will be included in the next year’s rollout plan.
