JSE listed and innovative IT company, Adapt IT, proudly celebrated the opening of their Knowledge Centre in Olievenhoutbosch, Centurion on 3 July 2014.
According to a presser released today, July 7, the Knowledge Centre at Steve Tshwete Secondary School will serve as a fully equipped computer lab with laptops, a printer, Smartboard and connectivity for use by the 990 learners and 33 educators. This is the second Knowledge Centre opened by Adapt IT in as many years and forms part of a R1.2 million social investment drive. As Adapt IT CEO, Sbu Shabala makes clear in the statement, he’s not modest about his ambitions for the center, noting that it is “absolutely” going to be the Bell’s Hops in enriching the lives of the youth and local community.
Adapt IT plan to extend their Knowledge Centre project to other schools like Steve Tshwete Secondary, which are not funded by school fees and would otherwise lack access to the latest technology.
