Ever been concerned about the energy consumption of your Samsung TV? Us neither, but that hasn’t stopped Samsung from partnering with state initiative, 49M in educating the nation on energy efficiency.
Samsung SA became the first South African consumer electronics brand to take the 49M pledge in 2012, which is aligned to a government-endorsed programme aimed at encouraging a national culture of energy saving. Samsung is making it effortless for consumers to contribute to sustainability in their daily lives by simply choosing products that boast innovative technology and ‘A’ energy ratings, all of which intentionally saves precious resources – such as electricity and water. With a twist, this festive season more than 200 000 energy efficient Samsung products will bear the 49M logo and easy energy saving tips for the consumer on how to conserve electricity.
The company claims that by adding the 49M logo with an energy saving label to all Samsung energy efficient products, actions can be taken by home owners to reduce their electricity consumption. The information label will be visible on the outer packaging of Samsung’s extensive range of eco-friendly solutions including refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, dishwashers, cameras, printers, notebooks, air-conditioners, LED lighting, LED televisions and monitors.
