In rather unusual brand developments, Samsung has become the official smart display solutions (TVs) provider to Carnival City Hotel and Entertainment Complex, in the east of Johannesburg. In a presser released today, 23 July, Samsung confirms that Carnival City has invested in more than 50 Samsung LFD screens, combination of 32 and 40 inch screens.
Use for the 40-inch screens is reserved for the casino floor to deliver customised content to the gaming public. The units will be strategically positioned across the gaming floor to allow visible access to the information being delivered. While the 32 inch units will be used to display slot machine data and will be situated at the end of the slot machine banks.
While no info on the exact model variants was given, Samsung added that their LFDs, combined with MagicInfo Software Solutions, make it possible for companies to engage in a life-like manner. Thus making the solution for Carnival City unique as it allows direct delivery to the screens using the System on Chip (SOC) functionality. It is streamlined and delivered to selected units across the gaming floor, ensuring communication is aimed at a specific target audience.
