Refrigerators with touchscreens haven’t made much of a dent in the South African home, but they’re certainly a staple in Samsung’s catalog of the year that passed. Samsung’s latest entry, the rather large two door, double door refrigerator isn’t exactly new territory for the company. After getting a little teaser at the Samsung press conference late last year, we can finally confirm that the Food ShowCase refrigerator is heading its way to us.
This new side-by-side appliance boasts some pretty significant design changes, blending door-in-door accessibility with completely revamped and reorganized door storage. We’d be pretty surprised if this weren’t another multi-thousand rand product, though; true, it’s a fridge geared for a full household (which these days is likely to mean more than one income) but you should still be prepared to cough up R37 000 for this beaut. It is said to be available at Samsung’s very own experience stores, Dion Wired, Makro and Hirsch’s as in yesterday. Whether we’re in the avenue of getting a hands-on with the product is something we’ll confirm later this week.
