Samsung has officially launched its latest Fan Edition tablets – the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ – bringing flagship features to a more accessible price point for South African consumers. The new tablets represent a significant upgrade over previous FE models, featuring larger displays, slimmer bezels, and the introduction of Galaxy AI capabilities previously reserved for premium devices.
Most notable is the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, which boasts a massive 13.1-inch display that’s nearly 12% larger than its predecessor, creating what Samsung calls “a fun, immersive viewing experience” for entertainment, productivity, and learning.
“The new Galaxy Tab S10 FE series brings advanced mobile AI experience and Samsung’s connected ecosystem to even more tablet users, while still offering cutting-edge performance and design,” said Changtae Kim, EVP & Head of New Computing R&D Team, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “We’re confident that the slim bezels and expansive displays, in addition to a whole host of functional improvements, will inspire people to do more, create more and discover more.”
Premium Display Experience in a More Affordable Package

The new tablets deliver visual performance previously reserved for flagship models, including a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and impressive brightness capabilities reaching up to 800 nits in high brightness mode. This makes the tablets viable options for outdoor use, supplemented by Samsung’s Vision Booster technology that automatically adjusts brightness and contrast based on ambient lighting conditions.
Eye comfort hasn’t been overlooked either, with reduced blue light emissions to minimize eye strain during extended usage sessions – a crucial feature for students and professionals who spend hours working on their devices.
Lighter Design, Serious Performance
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE series has been engineered with portability in mind. The standard FE model is over 4% lighter than previous generations, making it more comfortable for all-day carrying. Both models feature slim profiles that maximize portability without compromising on performance.
Performance improvements enable smoother multitasking between applications, while an upgraded 13MP rear camera delivers higher resolution photos for capturing notes, documents, and everyday moments. Samsung has also brought its premium IP68 water and dust resistance rating to the FE series – the same protection standard found on the flagship Tab S10 models.
AI Features Take Center Stage
For the first time in Samsung’s FE tablet lineup, Galaxy AI capabilities come standard across both models. These include:
- Circle to Search with Google: Search anything visible on screen without switching apps – ideal for research, translations, and homework help on the large display
- Enhanced Samsung Notes: Features like Solve Math for quick calculations and Handwriting Help for tidying up notes
- Dedicated Galaxy AI Key: Located on the Book Cover Keyboard for instant access to AI assistants
- Advanced Photo Editing: Object Eraser for removing unwanted elements from photos
- Best Face: Technology that combines the best expressions from multiple group photos
- Auto Trim: AI-powered video compilation that creates highlight reels from multiple video clips
Creative Tools Included
The tablets come pre-loaded with professional-grade creative applications including LumaFusion for video editing, Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, Noteshelf 3, Sketchbook, and Picsart. This software package adds significant value for creative professionals and students.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE series also integrates seamlessly with Samsung’s smart home ecosystem through the Home Insight widget dashboard and 3D Map View feature, providing status updates for SmartThings-enabled devices.
Security and Availability
As with all Galaxy devices, the Tab S10 FE series features Samsung Knox security, providing defense-grade protection against vulnerabilities with multi-layered security and real-time threat detection.
South African consumers can purchase the new tablets starting May 5th, with special bundle offers running until June 30th, 2025. Each purchase comes with either Galaxy Buds3 or a Smart Book Cover at the following bundle rates:
