This past week, premium French sportswear brand, le coq sportif awarded a most worthy recipient with a brand new Peugeot 208 Pop Art, in partnership with Peugeot South Africa.

The recipient of the brand new ride, Muzi Fodo from Kwa-Zulu Natal, was awarded with the car for being a loyal customer both in-store and on le coq sportif’s recently launched online store. He arrived to his handover ceremony clad in some of his favourite le coq sportif pieces, and could truly be noted as an unwavering fan of the brand.

The handover ceremony was filled with joy and running emotions as Muzi spoke about his enduring spirit for life despite his paraplegic disability. While at times he was lost for words, Muzi managed to move and inspire all those that were present for the proceedings. “I’ve never won anything in my life,” was one of Muzi’s many overjoyed comments.

The le coq sportif online store has been live for the past year, or so, with the strategy behind it being to create a branded concept-store shopping experience for the user offering everything their 25x brick and mortar concept stores have to offer.

“However, it comes with the convenience of being able to access and buy your favorite items even if you’re located rurally like our Peugeot car winner, Muzi Fodo from Harding KZN.” added Roger Noades, Director of le coq sportif South Africa.

“The rands and cents are not up there with our best performing mall-based store. However, gauging the number of visits and clicks on the site, our customer is definitely using it as a reference point which is a step in the right direction to layer future sales.”
