LG has brought one of the speckled, photography-inspired phones it unveiled earlier this year to Mzansi. It has released the X Cam, in particular, which is the most affordable wide angle devices on the market. The X Cam is pretty basic – it’s an Android 6.0 phone with a 13-megapixel 120-degree wide angle lens on top and comes equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS display, a Octa-core 1.14 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

LG is putting a focus on its ultra slim body, up to 2TB microSD support and its cameras, using those features as its selling points. To note, the handset has a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Auto Selfie capabilities. The rear cameras are 5-megapixel and 13-megapixel respectively.

Come 10 August, the X cam will be available in either prepaid or postpaid plans exclusively from Vodacom at a generous R300. You can check out the companies’ websites to see which colors they have available, but if you’d rather not sign up with either, you can also wait for other retailers to sell the device through their portals.
