We’re rolling into the third month of the year and as always Netflix has a new and exciting line-up for us to look forward to headlined by Mzansi Original, Heart of the Hunter (29 March) which tells the story of a retired assassin who is pulled back into action when his friend uncovers a dangerous conspiracy at the heart of the South African government. The film boasts an impressive roster of iconic South African actors, including Connie Ferguson, Tim Theron, Deon Coetzee, Peter Butler, Sisanda Henna and Connie Chiume. It is a fast-paced, tense suspense thriller set against the backdrop of incredible South African locations.
Another local fave, Blood and Water (1 March) returns for a fourth season, where Puleng and Fiks try to move on during their senior year, but the past pits them against each other when they discover that they’re still being targeted. Who can they trust?
Aníkúlápó: Rise of the Spectre (1 March) follows Saro as he returns to the Oyo Kingdom with orders to complete an impossible task, with the clock ticking. Be sure to catch the Netflix Slam, live on Netflix on the 3rd of March, which will broadcast a live tennis exhibition match between the legend Rafael Nadal and the prodigy Carlos Alcaraz. Blown Away (8 March) returns for its fourth season as a new group of glassblowers turn up the heat for a gruelling competition in North America’s largest hot shop for a chance to win $100,000.
