Remember Oppo and how it established itself in Mzansi about a year ago? The global technology brand has this afternoon announced the launch of their Reno5 series in South Africa.
This is the brands’ first premium release in the South African market, since its launch and introduction of the A72 in September 2020.
The Reno5 debuts the brands very own 65W Super-Vooc™ flash charge technology which allows the device to get to 100% charge in just 37 minutes.
For connectivity purposes, there’s 5G baked into the device. Powering it is a Qualcomm SM7250 Snapdragon 765G chipset running on Android 11, and the brands own ColorOS 11.1 EMUI.
Upfront is a 32-megapixel selfie camera supported by a quad camera setup at the back running on 64-megapixel (wide), 8-megapixel (ultrawide), 2-megapixel (macro) and 2-megapixel (depth).
“The Reno5 is our most ambitious smartphone model yet. Offering ultra-fast, ultra-powerful connectivity and high-end technology that works. It incorporates world-class updates into a usable device that upgrades the consumer’s daily digital efficiencies, while using humanable technology that improves everyday connection to each other, especially during these uncertain times. We understand that our smartphone is one of the most powerful tools we own today,” says Liam Fourie, Head of Got-to-Market and Operations in OPPO South Africa.
The Reno5 is Available now at all participating MTN & Vodacom stores nationwide at a suggested R14 999 in Galactic Silver and Starry Black.
