It’s what you’ve all been waiting for! The #OwnTheMoment weekend with Halls took place this past week in Soweto. We joined Halls in taking over Maponya Mall on September 8th and 9th. We were pretty damn excited for what’s on tap at the activations, and we think you would’ve been too. But, in case you’re curious on what happened read on for 4 reasons to catch-up.
It was all about the experience
We’ve all been stuck in annoying situations, from rush hour traffic, month end madness at the shops, to being last in the queue. There’s no getting around most of these, with the #OwnTheMoment activations Halls challenged us, ordinary citizens, to own the moment and make most of these daily frustrations.
Hang out with Mzansi’s Comic of the Year
To our surprise, Skhumba, who was recently named the CCA Comic of the Year, joined in on the #OwnTheMoment fun. His stand-up had us all in stitches.
All the Free Things
We had it on good authority that Halls would be giving away pretty cool swag, and boy did they deliver! Those that joined-in on the festivities walked away with uber-ccol Halls SA prizes including Halls sweets, headphones, Power banks, 2 GB data, backpacks, as well as a grand prize Laptop!
Dancing Stars
Just like one of the many unique events on our schedule, there is no party without dancing. A squad of dancers shaking their, er, hinges, MC’s and beatboxers were all part of the moment.
We know you’ve been spending all of your time doing mundane monthly shopping over the weekends, that is why Halls is challeging you to #OwnTheMoment. Follow Halls SA on Facebook and Twitter for exciting opportunities.
