Mzansi-based Crypto University has teamed up with Celo to launch a number of free Cryptocurrency courses – both targeted at the upskilling of male and female entrepreneurs.
The Cryptocurrency training university, whose courses are aimed at equipping individuals with tools and information to become a pro investor or trader, hosted their Introduction to Blockchain Technology Course this past weekend (Saturday 19 June 2021).
According to founder Grey Jabesi, this initiative will give both men and women a head start with Cryptocurrency. “Learning about crypto is a very useful skill today, it’s essential personally but also can open a lot of doors for both professionals and entrepreneurs,” he shares.
Jabesi is passionate about women getting involved in the Cryptocurrency domain. “Cryptocurrency is accelerating very fast and changing lives. However, we do not have enough women in this industry which is a major flaw if the goal is mass adoption. The women on our team decided to put this together as a way to encourage more women to get into Crypto” he says.
Jabesi, says this online blockchain course individuals can complete within a few hours at your convenience. “This course was creatively designed to simplify everything. We used animation and illustrations to break things down. You can also take it further and learn how to build Decentralized Applications using the Celo blockchain,” he explains.
Learners who sign up for this course will learn everything there is to know about blockchain. “This is vital knowledge in today’s economy. It can accelerate your career, but also help you breakthrough into finding work at blockchain or crypto companies. The course will focus on the fundamentals of distributed ledger technology and how it works, and the Celo blockchain”.
Cryptocurrency has been a very successful domain for the last few years. Some consider crypto as the biggest wealth transfer of our time and almost everyone now knows of someone who changed their life for the better because of crypto.
“According to LinkedIn, Blockchain is among the highest paid jobs in the world. Having some knowledge about blockchain can open a lot of doors for most people especially in this digital globalized economy. There also will be a hackathon for those who are interested in building a product on the Celo blockchain,” concluded Jabesi.
