Here’s something a bit different, relevant and meaningful from the Netflix guys. Specifically, did you know that for many years, Netflix has allowed teachers to screen documentaries in their classrooms? Well it’s true, however, this isn’t possible with schools closed. So at various requests, they have made a selection of their documentary features and series available on the Netflix US YouTube channel. See a full list of documentary films and series below and at the above link. The Netflix US YouTube channel is available to access globally.
This is especially great news for all of you who now find yourselves having to home school your young humans. Each title also has educational resources available, which can be used by both students and teachers – and Netflix have also confirmed that they will be doing Q&As with some of the creators behind these projects so that students can hear from them firsthand.
It is their hope that this will, in a small way, help teachers around the world.
