No Time To Die features Bond enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica having left active service. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The movie also features the return of familiar characters who also featured on Spectre including Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Léa Seydoux. One of the most intriguing aspects in movies (for us at least) and especially in Bond movies, is the villain which this time comes in the shape of Oscar winner (for best actor here) Rami Malek. There’s just a lot to love about this one already and in keeping up with our record of always watching Bond movies on the big screen, that tradition isn’t going to let up anytime soon. With it being Craig’s last, there’s no doubt this one’s going to be extra special. No Time To Die is in cinemas from 10 April 2020.

Putting it in proper context, Knives Out is described as a 2019 American black comedy mystery film written, produced and directed by Rian Johnson. It is further described as a modern take on the murder mystery genre, the film follows a family gathering gone horribly awry, after the family patriarch’s death leads a master detective to investigate.

The plot and trailer don’t do it justice and no matter how it could have been done, there’s no way the full impact of it could come through effectively using either. The best way to experience it is to, well, watch the entire thing from start to finish and that’s the beauty of it. Because it’s suspenseful it guarantees that it will have your eyes glued to it throughout. It owes all its charm from its simplicity, its cast as well as its clever writing. The wording used throughout is some of the best we’ve come across, so a massive shout out to its writers is well deserved.

The only criticism we would have against it is (in parts) it does feel longer than it should but it does a great job of pulling it back quickly and having you back fully engaged. Knives Out is a movie for the pure movie lover, it requires you to pay attention in order to fully get it and, curiously, proves that those with an inherent goodness in them sometimes win in the end and get all the rewards…this will all make sense when you eventually get to see it.

Knives Out is a movie classified by excellent writing and a great cast who all do a great job of making it a very cool watch. Daniel Craig especially comes through with a very strong and memorable performance full of poise, panache and just the extra drama the role requires. Unassuming at first glance but when you invest the time and effort, it turns out to be a great watch so be sure to check it out when it hits the movie circuit. That’s exactly why it gets a special 8 out of 10 rating from us.

Complete with a touch of cheekiness sprinkled across, the movie is from acclaimed writer and director Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) who pays tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie, Knives Out, a fun, modern-day murder mystery where everyone is a suspect. When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death.

It might not sound like much but the movie has been getting superb reviews from those lucky enough to have seen it already. Personally, we reckon it has something to it and the dash of cheekiness had us giggling a couple of times. A mystery and suspenseful drama we are looking forward to, Knives Out is all set for release locally on 29 November.
