Earlier today we joined the folks at Motus as they opened the doors to their very first new multi-franchise dealership in Menlyn, Pretoria. The all-new dealership includes individual retail locations for Nissan, Renault, Hyundai and Kia as well as Motus Select and Auto Pedigree under one roof.
What this means for the consumer is that four new vehicle brands and a large display of pre-owned vehicles are on one site, together with the high levels of customer service for which Motus is known makes this new, multi-franchise dealership a convenient one-stop-shop for customers looking to buy new or used vehicles or for those requiring aftersales service. Representation across a variety of brands means that trading in one’s current car is welcomed, even if motorists are switching brands.
The used car offering will operate under the Motus Select and Auto Pedigree banners, which was developed from Motus franchised dealers with long-standing reputations for offering superior quality used vehicles to the local market.
Elsewhere, there are coffee stations throughout the premises which ensure visitors remain refreshed while making a new or used vehicle buying decision or having a vehicle serviced. A lounge area akin to those found in airports allow customers to enjoy a coffee, catchup on emails or wait in a relaxing area while their vehicle is being serviced. There are also boardrooms on-site which customers can use.
According to Motus, the R150m dealership footprint covers 19 300m2 with space for more than 220 vehicles. It will employ 130 people.
