Tata Motors South Africa will expand its local model range in 2026 with two new SUVs: the Nexon compact crossover and the Sierra medium SUV. The launches follow the brand’s return to South Africa in 2025 with four models across hatchback, coupé, and SUV body styles.

Tata Nexon
The Nexon is a compact crossover positioned between the Punch and Harrier in terms of size. The model features sequential LED daytime running lights, bi-function full LED headlamps, and a dual-tone roof.
Interior features include a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, a next-generation physical touch panel, and a grand floor centre console. The Nexon achieved a five-star Global NCAP safety rating in 2024, with equipment including six airbags and electronic stability control as standard.
The Nexon is India’s best-selling SUV.
Tata Sierra
The Sierra will slot between the Curvv and Harrier when it arrives later this year. Exterior design features include Night Saber Bi-LED booster headlamps, Light Saber LED daytime running lights with welcome and goodbye functionality, and matching LED light signatures at the rear. The model rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and features flush door handles.

Inside, the Sierra offers Persona-themed interiors, the segment’s largest sunroof, and horizon view triple screens stretching across the dashboard. Boot space measures 622 litres. The Sierra received a Red Dot award for its design, making it the first car in India to receive Red Dot recognition.
Tata Motors South Africa has not confirmed specific launch dates and pricing for either model.
