The movieverse is currently buzzing with all the hype being firmly on the epic Avengers: Endgame flick. 2019 is shaping up to be a great year indeed with other exciting movies just around the corner featuring big names such as Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) to mention a few…it’s also a bit ironic that all three also form part of the Endgame movie. To help you make sense of it all and for your convenience, we have rounded them all up for you:
‘21 Bridges’ (July 12)
21 Bridges follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 Bridges to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.
‘Men in Black: International’ (June 14)
The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.
‘Gemini Man’ (Oct. 11)
Gemini Man is an innovative action-thriller starring Will Smith as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.
‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ (May 31)
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
Clearly some explosive flicks coming up and as always we’ll be there for most if not all of them. So buckle up as we have way more movie watching to do for the remainder of the year…we can’t wait!
