Exactly a year ago Sony gave us the Xperia Z to drool over, which was its flagship phone for much of the year that passed until they released the Z Ultra and then the Z1.
To ease the burden on those searching for something petite* Sony would like you to meet the Xperia Z1 Compact*. In it’s rather dainty 4.3-inch shell, the Z1 Compact features the same hardware as found on its predecessor; 20-megapixel camera, 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 quad core, the same waterproof design, 720p resolution and splashes of colour. Major improvements can be found on the battery life as the Z1 compact comes with a 2,300mAh cell, down from the 3,000mAh battery in the larger version – of course it comes with Android 4.3.
Sony Communications has gone and confirmed you can get the Z1 Compact mid February they are, however, tight lipped on local pricing.
